Pickleball is MY PASSION.
As a former 4.5 tennis player for over 30 years, I've competed most of my adult life. I played in USTA leagues and tournaments, exceling in tennis doubles. I found pickleball in 2017 and have never looked back.
Playing at the Sr. Pro level in pickleball, I have discovered that I LOVE the strategy involved when I am playing against a quality opponent and figuring out how to beat that team across the net. Of course I play to win, and you can't win without having good strokes (which takes multiple reps), but I love the "chess-like" mentality and the various strategies that you use in pickleball doubles and singles. Gender doubles, Mixed doubles, and singles ALL use different strategies. Its definitely not a one size fits all.
Accolades in my own pickleball career as a player include:
2020: Turned Sr. Pro
2021: winning a bronze medal at the National Championship in Indian Wells, CA; Silver medal for Senior Pro Singles at the Orange County Cup in San Clemente, CA; Bronze medal for Senior Pro Singles at the PPA Championship in Rancho Mirage, CA. Bronze Medal for Senior Pro Singes at the APP Chicago tournament.
2022: Being ranked #9 in the world (on the senior pro tour) in singles for most of 2022.
2023: Being drafted to a NPL professional team (Indy Drivers) and finishing the season as a National Champion.
2024: Being drafted to a NPL professional team (Houston Hammers) and being selected as Women's co-captain. Huge honor for me. Currently we are in 1st place overall in the National Pickleball League.
I hold an IPTPA level 2 instructor certification and a PPR teaching certification as well. I would love to help grow your game with a pickleball lesson or two (or three :). Whether competing on the open court in rec play, or preparing for tournaments, we can tailor our private/group/partner lessons to meet your needs as a player.
